Opportunities for Experienced Candidates

Job Description

We are looking for a Concrete Form Setter for our construction team. While experience is a bonus, we offer on-the-job training to new employees who don’t have concrete construction experience. Worksite Duties:

  • Set and strip footings according to plans
  • Set Western Wall forms
  • Tie rebar in walls and footings per plan or per code
  • Set and follow stringlines
  • Bolt, nail, and align block underforms
  • Level earth according to requirements
  • Finish concrete to required specifications, including smoothing, leveling, and grading as required

Professional Duties:

  • Interact with supervisors and peers in a professional manner
  • Improve personal skills and training as required by duties and responsibilities
  • Maintain all company equipment and materials
  • Follow and support company policy and procedures

Worksite Safety Expectations:

  • Attend and participate in crew safety meetings
  • Understand and practice the Brooks Construction Safety Policy. Observe all safety practices and procedures.
  • Immediately report all incidents and unsafe site, equipment, or rigging conditions to supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in setting wall forms
  • Experience setting forms for concrete pours for the construction of concrete structures
  • Experience in grading, screeding, and basic carpentry
  • Experience using Western Wall forms

Job Description

We seek an experienced and skilled Concrete Foundation Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to manage and oversee different stages of the construction project. You should also be able to plan construction projects upon reviewing technical drawings and blueprints. Additionally, this role is expected to estimate the construction completion timeline and ensure its completion within the assigned budget. And with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you will be asked to identify and resolve any construction defects.

As a Concrete Foundation Foreman, you should be detail-oriented and display excellent physical strength. In addition to this, you should be able to prepare and maintain a report of the construction project status. Your ability to multitask and handle construction projects as per the industry standards will be considered.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Be familiar with Western Forms
  • Managing different stages of the construction projects
  • Estimating the number of materials and laborers required for the project
  • Reviewing and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Assigning and overseeing the Construction Workers
  • Maintaining a record of the number of hours/days taken to complete each project
  • Adhering to the safety and health guidelines at all times
  • Bringing any construction problems to the notice of the Construction Project Manager
  • Ensuring that all activities related to concrete preparations, placement, and installation are conducted smoothly
  • Identifying and correcting any construction defects
  • Maintaining and updating daily work reports and work schedules
  • Be competent with Procore

Worksite Safety Expectations:

  • Attend and participate in crew safety meetings
  • Understand and practice the Brooks Construction Safety Policy. Observe all safety practices and procedures.
  • Immediately report all incidents and unsafe site, equipment, or rigging conditions
  • Fall protection methods
  • Understanding of OSHA Part 1926

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Western Forms
  • Experience setting forms for concrete pours for the construction of concrete structures
  • Experience tying rebar
  • Experience in various aspects of concrete work
